The CEPC (Carpet Export Promotin Council) is the only establishment which has taken the responsibilies of all above positive steps of Indian carpet industry. This council established by Indian Governmen in 1982 to take over the problems of Indian Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters. There are 2500 members are associated with the CEPC at the moment. The major activities of the council are as under:
1- To promot the export of Indian hand made persian carpet and other hand made floor coverings.
2- To Develop healthy environment for quality production developing infrastructure of carpet producing areas.
3-To put the issues of manufacturers and exporters before the Government to get the solution and educating about government policies and
its compliances.
4-Taking care of rights of carpet weavers, artisan and craftsmen. So that Indian Carpet Industry can maintain the exquisite design, subtle elegant, attractive colors and quality assurance to keet stand himself with strong worldwide competetion.
5- Identifying potential
market and to organise buyer-seller Meet and carpet trade fairs world wide time to time.
